I recently had a boyfriend for 6 months, fell in love with him very badly. For the first 3 months he treated me incredibly well, he bombarded me with love, bought me presents, did anything for me, made me feel very very loved and made me feel like I was his soul mate. At the beginning I wasn't even sure if I wanted a relationship because I was divorced for a year and I wasn't thinking that i was ready for a new relationship. But he sneaked into my life, probably observing my emotional weakness after getting divorced and slowly gained my trust, even though he was a chronic liar. He started to stay at mine more often and after a while he was with me all the time even though he never moved into my flat for good. After 3 months I started to feel that there was something wrong about him. He said me that he committed suicide 2 years a go and he was using medication for depression. He had sudden mood swings, and sudden angers. So I was thinking that he was acting like that because he wasn't using his medication regularely... but I was wrong. It wasn't about the medication at all. He was lying all the time, and he was using my money but always telling me that he'd give me back. He did give them back twice but then he took a good amount of money from me by lying about his situation. So first 2 back payments was to gain my trust to actually take that bigger amount. With time I found out that he sexually abused other women 2 times, and he had been in court for that. When I found these out, he found a way to convince me that he was innocent, but after one week he showed his real face to me. His mask fell off and I saw his devilish eyes full of anger and hatred. Beleive me that was someone else, very scary. After I've read everything online about narcissistic sociopaths I thought it was definitely him. They have zero empathy, they can't feel love, they don't have any morals, they are very clever, charming and very good actors. I was shocked, the guy that I was in love very badly actually never existed. It was an illusion. I lost my money, I lost my love and I lost my best friend (I thought he was). That happened one month a go. My heart is still burning, I feel extremely lonely, feel very anxious, want to cry all the time. Everything seems meaningless. Besides all these he keeps calling me. I blocked him from everywhere now. I just came across with this page and wanted to share my experience. Someone might find this useful. If you know any way to ease this pain please share with me. I still can't believe such people existed.
