Hi everyone thought I would introduce myself.  My name is Kaia and I'm a sex trafficking survivor. I grew up knowing nothing but abuse by my father sexually physically etc. By age 18 fell in love with an older man who forced me into prostitution for over 4 years. I did years of intense therapy and have been diagnosed with ptsd. And I still struggle with it. I still blame myself.  My insomnia and nightmares have been brutal as of late so that's why I'm here.

You are not alone..my trafficking started at26 because i fell for a retired vet that had serious addiction and mental health problems that were unaddressed. He held me captive in first a basement then a dethatched garage for 2 1/2 years. If you can survive that you can get your life back on track faster than most people if you put your mind to it. Always do things at your pace. when you get triggered learn why and how you were triggered dont push yourself to hard but keep learning and pushing to be who you want to be.

Hello I am new in this group but I am so glad its here. My trafficking story started when I was 11. I was trafficked by my own brother. He groomed and molested me for a while then sent me to be raped in a gang in Texas. They destroyed my life for 10 years. I've been struggling with depression and ptsd ever since.
All I know is that we are SURVIVORS!
Intense therapy has helped me, journaling , positive affirmations every day and exercising as often as I can. I have to remind myself everyday that I am safe and I moved to a different state.
I realized that staying in Texas was just reminding me over and over again. So earlier this year..I had to pack my bags and start over somewhere else. Also making sure that I not take on too many things at once in my life helps.
