I first came to this web site because I had a miscarriage. The reason I had a miscarriage was a result from a car accident I was in. I was rear ended while stopped on the hi-way. I was so grief-ridden over my miscarriage that I never even really took the time to explore the fact that I may have survivor syndrome or guilt from the car accident. I could never completely relate with the other woman in the miscarriage group. I always felt like I needed to mention that it happened after a car accident, that it was heavier that way. I never even thought that I may have survivor guilt until I was invited to this group. It hit me like a ton of bricks that there is a whole side of this event that I have not even delt with yet. It never occured to me but it makes so much sense. Miscarriage is always painful for anyone. But I have the emotional pain of the loss along with flash backs of that day, the accident, the emergency room, the first time I saw the blood in my underwear after waiting in the ER for 3 hours. Wow, I just realized that the guilt is heavy and the fear for future pregnancies is there. This happened over a year ago, my baby would have been turning one in January. It is the hardest thing I have ever experienced. Innocence is completly lost. I had a child die, not only that, my child was killed in an accident. And there was nothing I could do about it. I would never wish this on anyone.
I am not always gloomy about this. I can see sometimes the meaning for why this had to be. Anyway, thank you for letting me share my story.
