Hello everyone! I'm new here. I decided to come on this board to find more information about surrogacy.  I'm 32, married, no children. I was born without a uterus.  Surrogacy is the first option that came to my mind. The reason why I turn to this option kind of late is that my first husband didn't want to have children. I've been always wanted to become a mother. But I thought as I have no uterus this's my destiny to be childless. When I was 24 it turned out that my ex-husband had a mistress who got pregnant and he left me to be with her and his child. I spent 3 years in depression. I didn't want any relationships. When my ex-husband  left me he told me lots of terrible stuff  which made me feel that no one will ever  want me I as wife because I'm infertile. I moved to my parents’ house. I was sitting home 24/7 feeling sorry for myself.  My parents were trying so hard to help me. I was thinking what's the point of my life and I couldn't find it. I'm glad that period of my life is over.  Now I'm a completely different person. When I was 27 I met my dear husband who made me to forget about that horrible experience. Both of us want to have children. We're thinking about surrogacy. As my husband is working hard so we could afford surrogacy, I took all responsibility considering surrogacy on myself. Though  my husband  doesn't do much research because of his work, each evening  I share it with him  all the information which I  find during the day.   We discuss it and dive more and more into the process together. Surrogacy is illegal in our country. We are looking for options abroad. I've been here on this forum for a couple of days now and I found it really helpful. I hope I will find all needed information because I want our journey to start as soon as possible! I wish everyone the best of luck!

Surrogacy is the solution for a huge number of the infertile all over the world. I often hear or read sth like ''Why surrogacy--adopt!'' But people don't realize how time/money consuming the process might be. And you do get not biologically related kid at the end. Personally for me, biological relation is an important factor.
I did fail to carry pregnancies myself. So had to turn to surrogacy. At least the particle of me is going to be in our LO. It took us time to get there. Dh is amazing and supports me every time I am having a tough moment. I just got amazed our new clinic guarantees success. Some of the packages offer unlimited number of attempts, all mads included. In case you fail to conceive 5 times in a row and don't wan't to proceed with treatments or your body got exhausted - they return money back. As far as I know, there hasn't been a single couple left childless after treatments with them so far...
We're just taking initial steps. Coronavirus pandemic doesn't play on our side. Like on many others'. But keeping my spirits high we just keep on moving..

Every child born by surrogacy in Ukraine is legally considered to be the child of the intended parents from the beginning. In other words, the surrogate cannot keep him or her following birth under any reason.
A child born abroad must be biologically related to at least one US citizen parent who is biologically related to him or her. Additionally, the Ukrainian law allows egg donation. Although egg donors must remain completely anonymous. This means that neither the donor nor the intended parents can get to know each other. Moreover, the legislation in Ukraine allows the use of PGD with gender selection to choose the sex of the baby. Doing it by means of PGD means that it is carried out prior to the embryo transfer to the surrogate’s womb. Only childless, heterosexual couples who are married to each other are eligible to have a baby through surrogacy in this country. Additionally, another advantage of choosing Ukraine as your destination for surrogacy abroad is its attractive costs.
I know all these facts because dh and I are currenlty into the process ourselves. Thus covid nightmare almost colapsed the world, our clinic does find ways to meet its IP every time needed. As I've already mentioned, surrogacy can be complicated. Surrogacy costs can be significant. Depending on the various programs, surrogacy generally costs do vary extremely, which rivals the cost of more invasive fertility treatments. Surrogacy also has a higher success rate than other fertility treatments, and with continued improvement of IVF procedures, surrogacy is only getting more successful. I believe, surrogates choose to carry other people’s children because they value life and the power of family.
