We have been TTC for almost a year, and since it was taking longer than i had thought we decided to do everyting we could to optimize our chances. So i went for an HSG test just to make sure my tubes were ok and healthy. Well my tubes and ovaries are good but before the test was over the doctor springs on me that my uterus is not shaped right. The typical healthy uterus is triangle shaped but mine is more heart or v shaped (bicornuate uterus) and i was born with the congenital abnormlity and that when you have this condition that a majority of women do not carry to term and when you do the child has serious birth defects. 

so my question at this point is have any of you heard of this and if you have what was your experience in dealing wth this. im scared this means we may never have kids i cant stand to go to one more baby shower and pretend to be happy for them when the truth is im not happy for them at all.
