Arrested for disagreeing with a "feminist&quo

This story in the news is both upsetting and conscerning to me. If you look up "man arrested for disagreeing with feminist" online it will bring up article after article about a case a few months back in Canada where a father of 4 lost his job and was arrested for simply disagreeing with some feminists on Twitter. The women in question were talking about harrassing another man for making a political game that mocked an infamous feminist. When the guy who was arrested disagreed with these women's plans to harass/bully the game maker, saying that their planned actions could drive him to suicide the women got angry and had him arrested for disagreeimg with them (that's not technically what the charges are called, just what it simplifies down to).
There's more to the story regarding actions by the women against the guy they had arrested, but I'm not about to get that far into summarizing it here.
Why are so many people so tolerant of modern "feminists" doing this? It feels like the media always turns a blind eye to cases like this or downplays them, and that scares me. It just reminds me of how little support there is for men abused or falsely accused of crimes by women.

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.

The woman featured in the game is infamous for her involvement in controversy over ethics and moral practices in gaming journalism. It started with a scandal where it was discovered that a female game developer slept with some journalists in exchange for good reviews of her game. Readers/gamers were upset that journalists were engaged in unethical practices like that and demanded change. In response to this groups of new wave "feminists" got upset and started accusing everyone who complained about or criticized said unethical practices of things like being misogynists who hate and want to silence women. Things only got uglier from there and the "feminist" groups started doing things like harassing the workplaces of anyone who publicly disagreed with or criticized them (regardless if gender), sometimes to the point where the targeted people would lose their jobs due to the harassment.
Anyways, key members of these "feminist" groups (including the woman featured in the face punching game) recently convinced the U.N. that disagreeing (in the same manner as with how this is handled in that case in Canada apparently) with women online should be considered a form of cyber violence against women. I'd post a link to one of the articles about it, but it's tricky trying to find one that isn't too biased towards either side. However, both sides seem to largely agree that the whole document written up by the UN on this matter is an absolute mess.
I've bern going through a really rough patch with anxiety, dissociation and flashbacks for about a month now. Seeing cases like this one scares me.
