Hello everyone, I am new to this group. I suffer from chronic pain every day of my life. Yesterday my post was deleted probably due to the fact that a member of this group who I have been warned about wanted to argue with me. I don't have the health, energy or time to argue. It's a non-constuctive thing. I was hit by a drunk driver when I was 17. I am now 52. I have suffered from chronic pain my entire adult life. That drunk driver broke my neck, broke my pelvis into 8 pieces, broke my ribs, cracked my left arm, cracked my jaw, caused severe bruising over most of my body and caused severe lesions over my left eye and other areas of my body. I had a lot of internal injuries and lost a lot of blood. I died 3 times in the ER. I had to learn how to walk again. I eventually had to have a total hip replacement. I choose not to let one petty woman stop me from letting my voice be heard on behalf of pain sufferers everywhere. I have many avenues where I am heard..I am a member of advocacy groups for pain patients. I write the white house. I am looking into starting a non-profit to make our weak and pained voices heard. I seek humane treatment from doctors. I seek the government to allow doctors to treat legitimate pain patients humanely without the fear of loosing their license. I sign petitions in support of these issues. I have to pick my battles carefully as I do have to conserve my energy because of pain. Please sign this petition to further our cause. It's legal and peaceful and it only takes a couple of minutes to sign. I send peace, love, light and healing prayers to all of those who suffer from this debilitating thing called PAIN. Thank you all very much. I will be a voice for us all. I won't be satisfied until we are heard.

Too often persons suffering with chronic pain are treated as drug seekers and left without compassion when struggling to maintain control of pain levels. Instead of help many times they are sent on their way when they truly are experiencing the worst pain of their lives and it seems endless. There is a great lack of understanding of why chronic pain exists and why it is not resolved by the medical community within a timely manner. The current crackdown of the DEA on pain management doctors is causing tightened allowances for patients with uncontrolled pain and they are left to suffer alone without any support to help them get through the episode that has driven them to seek medical attention despite the clear message that emergency rooms will not help you and your primary care physician can not prescribe that level of opiates needed to regain control of the pain that is reducing quality of life so dramatically. This is a wide spread problem within the pain management community and insurance companies are making it difficult to afford to resolve or even maintain the disease of Chronic Pain.
