I am stressing out

I turn 26 next month and I am under my moms insurance and I am no longer consider for her insurance once I hit 26. The insurance said that if they find me not being self sufficent than I can keep my insurance. They will be calling my doctor later this morning to talk to them. I was able to receive social sercurity disability through this doctor but as time goes on he think that I am able to sit for 6 hours and stand and walk for two hours. Which is not the case if that was the case I would be working. Hell I have to live with my mom because the RA is so bad and I can't make it on my own. But lately my doctor hasn't really belived me on how bad I am doing for some reason. I am on the meds but they are not helping so I am not sure what to do. I just really don't want to lose my insurance because then I can't do much. Anyway just ranting here thanks for listening.

hi,im sorry you are stressed .can you get a second opion stating you are still unable to work and that you gaulify for the ins?..a doc that will say you cant sit for 6 hours or stand for two?....another doc for second opion would maybe help..

im sorry you are so ill and so young but i was like you at your age..oh..and another doc may put you on other meds that will work.

I have RA and my doctor is 2 hours out because there is nothing in this area that deals with RA and I don't have a parinary anymore to get another refferal so I am kinda stuck. I fax a letter to my doctor kinda like a final plea to see what happens my insurace is going to call them tomorrow so we will see what happens.

I can understand why you are so stressed out if for some reason that they deny because of your doctor I would appeal and ask for a independent medical doctor and see if that helps. This is to keep insurance and not for disability(SSI) so your doctor may think that while you may be able to work you are not now and you need your insurance so he might be on your side more for that so he may give the yes she does consider being disabled.

No matter what your doctor thinks about the future for you I cannot imagine that he would work against you for your insurance. Tell him that in order to be treated you need the insurance and you can work on the future possibility of you going to work another day.

i can totally understand why your stressed. what a pickle to be in! because i'm young doctors dont belive how bad my arhtritis is either. my ankles are getting really bad these days too.

i wish you luck and hope your doc dose the right thing! let us know how it goes! hugs!
