Hello there, My Name Is 'Stubborn" TerrieAnn / ralop. The nick-name was given me by a dear best friend, her name, Penny. who was Deaf and she gave it to me in the form of an honored member of the Deaf community where I live, as my 'sign name'. She has long since passed away from a disease called domestic violence and addiction. I wear my name very proudly and it is rather expressive of me in a nutshell both positive and negative aspects.
I have been a member of D.S. for quite some time now and wasn't aware of this group yet. I have experienced chronic pain since August of 2003 with 20 plus years of acute flare-ups before the C.P. came to stay.
I have a variety of medical issues causing it which all are explained so far except for a 2-3 years now with weird nerve sensitivity all over my body. Not diagnosed as fibro, but has many of the same symptoms.
Looking forward to the friendship and wonderful experiences of daily strength I always find here. Most of my profile and journals are open for anyone to learn more about who I am and what I deal with daily minute by minute at times.
I am an honest and genuine human being and look forward to knowing you all better as often as I am able to come and sit here. If I am Away for a few days it usually is only because I was stubborn with regards to embracing my physical limitations, so please don't think I am avoiding you if I don't respond quickly.
Have had a hard few months in many aspects of my life. However My relationship with self and God has gotten me through it once more and spring is here which is when I usually come out of my long winters nap anyway. (ralop is just Polar backward, referring to one of my totem animals, the female polar bear.)
I try to live a consciously spiritual life daily and my spiritual beliefs come from a wide range of experiences.
