I'll Always Be a Coward

I've tried to kill myself in past more than once and each attempt ended with me chickening out. Then, I have the thought that I'm just a coward. I hate that I'm too scared to kill myself. Fear is really why I haven't committed suicide yet. I've tried to kill myself this afternoon and the same thing happened. I figured if I keep pushing myself to commit suicide I would suck it up and just finally die, but no. I hate it. I hate myself. I have the same thought in my head for years, "I'm a coward." I make myself angry. So, I had just cut myself instead to take my anger out on myself.

Killing yourself is a lot harder than living through the pain until YOU make your life better. Your not a coward for not being able to commit suicide. It means you really want to live and be happy so why don't you start doing things you like that make you happy and not think about suicide.
I've been there where your at and it's tough, but you got to find it in yourself to better your life

Others will sensibly suggest that you try to get help and see a therapist or check into a hospital. That makes good sense, you have a concussion or fracture you see a doctor and mental illness is not different. However, can I suggest you try restructuring your life for a month, take small steps to improve. Write down 5 things you could do to improve your life and a 2 or 3 ways of implementing them. Exercise a little, read a book, call someone you know. If you feeling bad, this can't make things worse, but could make them better as you find yourself making a little progress step by step.

Sorry that this is late. I still think I am too scared to commit suicide. I feel as though the reason I didn't kill myself is more like I'm too scared to kill myself rather than wanting to live and be happy. At some point, I got sick of doing anything, got sick of everything, and got sick of myself. If I improve my life, then I improve my life. If I don't, then I don't. It would be at very slow pace. Then, I'll probably burnout go back to it again. I know it is an excuse, but that is how I feel about myself. I'll exercising. I was thinking getring back to that anyway. Maybe I'll try the restructuring my life idea.
