I'm ashamed of myself. Recently I've been struggling with intrusive thoughts. I keep needing to talk about my thoughts and I'm getting tired of it. I just feel guilty for it and it makes me want to just stop and give up. What makes me feel worse is the fact that I'm Catholic and I've heard it said that seriously thinking about or contimplating suicide is sinful. They dosent make me feel any better. I don't know what to do or how to keep going.

Sorry for being late. Your struggle sounds hard. Not only do you have suicidal thoughts, you feel ashamed and guilty about them. So, that doesn't make you feel better. You shouldn't have to feel bad about yourself. You could try to take it one day at a time in order to keep going.

I'm not Catholic. I'm baptist and I'm not much of a religious person, but I used to wonder if contemplating suicide was sinful. However, I believe I could ask for forgiveness regardless. Life gets difficult. Sometimes people seriously contemplate suicide. I do. I hope things get better for you.
