It still can be that type of group, but I feel I need to state the following: I still believe in Suboxone for opiate abuse, but firmly believe that it should only be a drug that should be prescribed by a doctor that is an addiction specialist. how to take suboxone

this is the second go around with suboxone, i was on it several years ago for about a year, tapered off and no withdrawal....stayed clean for 2 years then thought i could handle it again...this time they told me not to swallow the medication, it still seems to work but this time i dont feel as good as the first, just wondering if anyone else hold the medication in mouth then spits it out?

I am still on Sub by choice for strictly pain control. I can tell you this- w/o a doubt... they gave you the wrong instructions. Thats too bad. Its actually the opposite of how to take it, Better yet, they should include instructions ( the pharmacy with each med fill ) that shows how and it IS very important to do it right to make sure you are going to experience the full effect. You can got to the manufacturers site as well ( I found helpful...) Basically, take some time to let it absorb under your tongue. DO NO spit it out even afterwards - just swallow it. You won't know exactly how much you just spit out. I have made a few mistakes along the way ... live and learn. I still could probably do better. It seems like every time I put a strip under my tongue someone asks me a question. HA- ( not suppose to talk either because all of the strip needs to stay in place and then swallow all of it. Like I said ... read the lit that they give you or visit manufacturers site easy peasy... it really DOES matter-
* I just re read my post for typos and make sure its what I want to say, (like I usually do) BUT I CAN"T because the flippin-- minny-- size box will only allow me to see every 3rd line and even THAT is too hard to read! I hope it helps -- Good luck!

I'm new to this group and have only been on suboxone for 2 months so I'm far from an expert but i was told to spit it out by my Doctor and if i accidentally swallow any of it,i get the worst headaches of my life. The first two days on suboxone was hell because i was so sick and my head felt like it would explode. When i told the Doctor he said to never swallow it. I let it disolve all the way under my tongue and spit out tge the residue and i no longer get headaches.
