The Bible unfolds like literature, and we follow the instructions like marching orders. The last orders supersede the previous ones. So the New Covenant (Testament) gives the design of who we are, what we do, and how we meet. What do you see in it, that can help us live better?
“Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son (Jesus Christ) also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all”. 1 Corinthians 15:24-28
We see that there will be a time in our future that God will be in all and in all.
I'm comcerned that "glory" may be as meaningless as the shine of a serpent, or the boasting lies of a t.v. preacher.
Let's say God has "honor". Then why in the world would he need someting reeking of flattery and pretense? Look up the word "tawdry". It comes from the shallow decor displayed on St. Audrey's day. (s taudry).
Glory is as praise. Intrinsic or else nonexistent. It is seen in worthyness/honor, which is a hidden matter of the heart. No?
Have you ever volunteered at a rescue mission? I think that would be more in line with God's glory, than some type of colorful or fragrant chimera. I know, I know. You didn't use those descriptive adjectives. But what is it?
