it's been 6 months since my husband came clean about kissing another woman when I was in the same house. I was looking for him everywhere and found them together. He denied it for 18 months and got angry every time I brought it up. After he came clean, he still continues to get angry if I need to talk about it and even though I live everyday as normally as possible, every time I want to talk about our relationship and how to fix our problems, he doesn't seem to care about anything. He shows no remorse and empathy, I have heard the phrase "I'm sick of it" way too many times. He can't even take me out of a nice and chilled date night once in a moon. I feel like our relationship is so shallow and superficial and everyday I feel more stuck and confused than ever...
When someone replies in an angry way that shows that they are guilty. He knows you are right, he's just too prideful to admit it. He also sees that you are trying to work with him on this, you need to put your foot down harder and tell him it's now or never he admits what he did was wrong, otherwise it's not worth staying in that relationship where someone doesn't care enough. Right now he sees that you will always be there, he needs an extra push.
I see that you posted this threat last year. I hope things have cleared up and worked by now.
If not, I agree with the person below. If sounds like hes one of those guys that's gets "too" comfortable until they realize they're about to lose you. Try altering your approach to how you bring up the topic. Tell it more I'm a way of how it makes you feel versus it being all about even though clearly it is all about him. If he still doesnt take you serious I would then focus more on you. Focus on making your self happy: start making friends, go shopping, plan a weekemd get away what ever makes you happy. He might notice the change and it may elicit a chase in him to go after you but if the man seems to have no remorse over what he did chances are he may do it again . I hate to think of breaking up or seperating but at this point that may be his wake up call. Maybe it will be too late by then to reconcile things with you but in the future he may think twice about doing it again.
Please let me know how things go or went. Best of luck!
And why are you stuck? Do you have children together? Are you financially dependant on him? If finances are the case figure out how you can become less financially dependent on him. Look back at your relationship with him.....have things become stagnant ? See how you can add some spice...maybe try doing something spontaneoous and out of the ordinary....dress up different than you normally would ....and sexy at that
