It was a bright and beautiful morning as the sun began to peep out from its hiding place and paint the sky pretty colors of pinks and blue.
The butterflies all woke up stretching their wings eager for the big race. One by one they gathered to the place for the race.
It was a beautiful field of wild flowers of all different kinds and colors. The field looked like a rainbow had danced on the ground because there was so many colors.
All the butterflies lined up for the big race and then the robin chirped for them to go and off they flew!
But because butterflies don't fly in a straight line they were fluttering around in circles all over the place.
As they danced in the sky closer and closer to the finish line all the other animals stopped to see who would win.
Two butterflies were close to the finish line, one was a pretty yellow, purple, pink, and blue one named Tori, the other was pretty too with colors of green, orange named Annie.
Closer and closer they raced in circles in the sky until one reached the finish line. And can you guess who it was? Well I will give you a hint, she is yellow, purple, pink and blue and her name is Tori! Yeah! Tori won the butterfly race that day.
