Are corporate Dems desperate enough to trade Trump impeachment for an infrastructure bill?  Why?  He will be re-elected.  Unless...

they are setting him up to fail.  GOP does not want it, and Trump is supposed to figure out how to pay for it within 3 weeks.

According to NPR, impeachment and Cngrsnl investigations were not discussed. 

"The aide said the president criticized the previous approach his administration took toward infrastructure funding — public-private partnerships. He faulted his former economic adviser. "That was a Gary [Cohn] bill," Trump said, calling it "so stupid" because, he said, "you get sued."

Slate says Pelosi wants bill to protect House majority.  Schumer wants rollback of tax giveaway.  McConnell says that's a non-starter.

WH Chief of Staff said "Do I think there’s an interest in doing it? Yes,” he said. “Do I think there’s probably more interest, especially on the Democrats’ part, to make a show for trying to get a deal? Yeah."
