The recent passage of anti-abortion laws in several (mostly southern) states is disappointing.  Televangelicals are willing to risk the collapse of society in order to save a fetus.  Not being a woman, my greater concern is the imposition of religious law on secular people by illegitimate representatives from gerrymandered districts.
