so, my husbands SA turned into SO almost 4 years ago. 5 years ago he was arrested with an underage prositute, along with porn, underage porn, sex toys, cialis, condoms, camera and video player for the porn. For the 1st year I was told NOT to tell anyone. Then conciction came- 10 years probationn and all that comes with being a sex offender. My son and I have been devastated. At first I did all the things a supported wife should do. Then I found out all his dirty little secrets and it has been hell since then. I questioned myself; what did I do wrong? How could I not see this? He was veiwing porn in my home...he took it to motel rooms, and then to hookers in those rooms. He has dropped out of couples therapy twice. Sure, he has apologized but wih no real feelings behind it. He does nothing to help us. Talking about sports is not "trying". I miss what I thought we had. I am sad and lonely. He is not the same man to me. I will always doubt him and his word. I think he is a manipulator. I probably need to move on, but I went from daddy to hubby and have been married for 36 years. I am scared to death to be on my own.I am still being guided by a therapist. My son and I barely speak to him. He will not move out; says this is his house, too. Says by stayting in it he is working on things...really???? How??? Any thoughts???
O I am so sorry to see that you posted some time ago and got no response. I can only share from my experience, which has been utter devastation, and offer you my hearfelt sympathy.
My husband, no ex, left me for a prostitute, and he stole from me on teh way out. So I understand, since ex has been indicted the hell you are in being trapped in, within the legal system with his criminal fallout.
It seems like your h is not too into changing....or has signaled that to you.
Being alone as I have been for four years is not easy or fun, and I confess my heart is broken and I feel completely hopeless. Is that a better thing than your situation, where you live w/o trust and affection? I wish I knew. I think you may be able to force him out of the house in some way though. Why should he do all this and get the comforts of home???? I am glad you have a therapist..... I found that helpful too.
