Having a rough time lately, really wish this group was still active. Used to be a great comfort several years ago when the emotions were raw. Could use someone to talk to whos been through this :'(
I don't know if it's too late to reply to your message, but I am also very much in need of someone to talk to. Have known about my husbands sex addiction for over a year now. It took a long time to get past the initial raw hurt of it all but now I'm experiencing a new kind of hurt. After giving it a go, and not feeling like he truly could change his addict/narcissistic behaviour I have left him. He is accusing me of being an angry person and cannot see that hurt he has caused me to feel this way. I feel so incredibly alone, questioning my every move. Have lost all trust in him, and that hurts so much. Someone who I loved and supported is unable to even appreciate the pain he has caused me.
If he cant see the pain that his addiction has caused he isnt in recovery. Leaving him was the best option for you. This addiction is life shattering, and that betrayal is the worse kind because it was done by someone you loved.
Hello there. I’m new here, just signed up. I do hope the women who were in need of support ended up finding some support. I too have been going through the same thing. I’ve been married 10 years. And my husbands porn addiction has been in the shadows throughout our entire marriage. I’ve had every emotion anger, sadness, body shaming, loss of self worth, betrayal, jealousy. Jealousy is a big issue I’m fighting with now. I find myself jealous of women who are just doing there job. For instance, we went to the store, picked up a few groceries and then went to check out, the girl was pretty and she was just a happy person asking did we find everything okay? And smiled. I immediately look at my husband to see if he reacted to her. If he was excited I guess. And I’m ashamed to admit it but I wanted to punch her for smiling at him, and she didn’t mean anything by it but I just feel sooo jealous of every girl. But woman won’t there it’s normal. Men blame it on “ well I’m a man, it’s just who men are” No Men!! It’s not in you, it’s a choice!! A freaking choice. Us,Women, are taking care of children, working, cleaning, cooking, busting our butts and our men go behind our backs and look at other women and not just look at them but naked!! It’s so wrong! In God’s eyes it’s adultery. You feel robbed. Robbed of your life. Betrayed. Lied to. You are allowed to have emotions. It is cheating in my eyes. No doubt. I hope there are women out there looking for support here. There are so many of us and this makes you feel so alone. I have lots to share as I’m sure many others do. Let’s fight this together. As women.
So hard to avoid those types of triggers when women and (sex) is everywhere we go ...THere are also women sex addicts that i swear since this all came out in my life i can pick up on their signs right away and we avoid those situations. This addiction is cheating.
