That is weird! Does he have sensory integration issues? My son has them and has problems eating based on food textures and he is very picky about what kind of fabrics he'll wear in terms of clothes. He likes more sweatpant type material than the stiff starchy feel of blue jeans. If the clothes drive him nuts he will complain to no end and usually after school pretty much takes any pants off.

I was just thinking sensory integration because hair is also a nervous tic type thing for my son and that might explain the skin contact. I hope you figure out what is going on!

This might be a good question for the SA's over in the main discussion board, maybe someone there can shed some light.

Maybe it has something to do with the texture of his skin? Maybe at some point he was told that he was scratchy. I dunno.
