Cleaning out my stuff

This is such a huge job. I am sorting boxes and cleaning out my junk. It's so hard to decide what stays and what goes. Right now I don't have space but I don't want to get rid of things that I'll want or need if I ever end up in a bigger space. I have a pile of stuff growing in my living that is going to go which is a good thing but I haven't been able to answer the question of how to get rid of it :( At least it's a start! I unpacked a box today and found 1 blanket and 2 quilts in it that I've never missed so I guess they can go! Well, 2 need to stay but then I can get rid of others :)

M-dog, I am doing the exact same thing myself right now !! . Its so hard to let go of the things we connect to our past. But we have to let go before we can move on. I just filled an 18 foot dumpster with crap from the past. Its not garbage, except no one wants it , so...to the dump or the good will....my newest challenge..

Well, we must all be on cleaning mode! There has been some of that going on around here too!! Geez Marinader, when you are finished with that 18 ft dumpster, I could use it here!!! I have got to go through all the crap in the carriage house sometime this summer - it is totally out of control out there!!! Not to mention drawers, closets etc.... This past few weeks I have been on a damn rampage around here - if it has been nice out Ive been working on the yard ( have another huge burn pile again ) And when it has been cool or rainy Ive been working in the house. Got to get this crap under control !!!!!

It is hard to let go especially when those things have happy memories. And then there is it worth keeping now when I don't have space for it (this 600sq' living is tough) because I know I will need it / want it down the road. ~sigh~ but it is therapeutic to get rid of some of the baggage that comes with this stuff.
