I have been on SSDI for almost 4 years. I finally got to a point where I could go back to work part time with flexible hours and got through the trial work period that SSDI has.  About the time I my trial work period was complete, our company sold and my job went away. Today I was hired for another job with another company and never dreamed they paid the salary they do. I will still only be working PT  but instead of $10.00 an hour, I"ll be making $15.00 an hour. That will put me $70.00 over my maximum allowable income with SSDI. It seems like there must be some way around this. I'm still disabled and working part time, it just happened the job pays good.  Are the only options turning down this great opportunity vs taking the job and losing my SSDI and my Medicaid all for an extra $70 a month?  I just don't know how this works... If I take the job, I will lose my Medicaid - my brother thought maybe I could take out other health insurance that would come out before taxes are taken out or something like that?  

I hope someone has an answer.  It's really hard to get a job at this place and I felt so fortunate to be hired there.  My disabilities aren't visible ones so they don't know.  It's a big clinic, I can't imagine going in and asking for my salary to be reduced?
