Tingling lips

Hi! I'm new here and newly diagnosed with Sjogren's syndrome. For a couple of years I occasionally get tingling in my lips. I don't have low calcium or thyroid issues. Has anyone else experienced this with sjogren's? It isn't painful, I'm curious because all of a sudden a lot of symptoms I've been having for a while are being attributed to Sjogren's.

Welcome to this group. Yes, I get tingling lips.
,& sometimes they burn but it is not painful. There are so many strange symptoms that seem to go wit Sjogren's but this is the place to find out about them!

I've had tingling lips for many years, way before being DX'd, so it may be a prelude or very early symptoms.

Hi, welcome to the group, though sorry to hear you need us. This disease is the strangest thing when it comes to symptoms, I have not experienced the lips going numb, but half my tongue is numb and most times I can't taste on that side... sjs ? I dont know, but I assume so as I had a ct scan of my brain and nothing seems wrong there, had back xrays, no pinched nerve. Did the put you on plaquinal? I'm hoping by six months my tongue comes back, maybe the same will happen for you. Good luck.

Thank you for welcoming me and sharing your experiences. It helps just knowing I'm not the only one with these bizarre symptoms. No, I am not on plaquenil. I was but had to go off of it due palpitations. I am being referred to a second rheumatologist because the first one said "I only take multiple symptom lupus and severe arthritis.". He was such a jerk. Anyway, I'm taking it one day at a time and learning a lot through all of you.
