It does burn when you first put it in. But it doesn't last long at all. I'm not sure about if you start you can't stop. Haven't looked that far ahead yet. I do believe it is helping with my dry eyes. I am using the tears drops less now. Good luck to you if you do start it.

I have never used it, but a friend of mine did for her dry eyes. After a while her eye doctor said she no longer had to use it so she stopped and didn't seem to have any issues with stopping.

For me it does burn my eyes for several hours. I've only been using it for 1 month now and not sure if it is helping or not. I was wondering if others had the same issue with it . I haven't been able to find an answer about how long I will have to stay on it or if you have to use it for ever.

Saw my eye doc today and got the RX for Restatis and also Lotemax.
Restasis takes about 3 months to work, so the other is used with it for the first 3 months.

Doc said refrigerating it helps it not burn or burn less. he also explained "you can never stop." It's not because it's addicting or will cause harm if you stop, it's just because you will ALWAYS need it.

I'll take my first dose shortly and let you know if it burns or not...

it can take a few months to show real improvements to your doctor but yes it does burn when I put it in, sometimes when I wake up too. I do an artificial tear 5 minutes before Restasis. As far as the never being able to stop... Hoopla! It's an anti inflammatory eye drop and has no addictive nature besides feeling amazing..

My eye doc said to put Restasis in the fridge and it doesn't burn!

Lotemax burns! I'm on that for 3 weeks till the Restasis kicks in.
