Sjogren's Syndrome Support Group
Sjogren's syndrome is an autoimmune disorder in which immune cells attack and destroy the exocrine glands that produce tears and saliva. It also associated with rheumatic disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, and it is rheumatoid factor positive in 90 percent of cases.
I have read that there is no permanent remission when it comes to Sjogren's...some folks find that their symptoms become very mild with time and age, but the disease itself never really goes away for good, meaning a flare is always possible, and maintaining good eye and dental health, as well as having regular check-ups with your treating physician will always be needed.
I can't remember where I read that...so if anyone else here has any other information to add that would be great!

When I feel I need to research a DX I tend to stick to 2 very medically reliable websites that have no 'scare tactics' so to speak...
Mayoclinic.com and Pubmed.org
Both are professional sites that are well respected in the medical community, and the info is solid.

I too get scared when I read about sjogrens and what it is capable of, but I try to focus on what I can do to try to lessen the symptoms and try to live my life to the fullest extent that I can with what I have.
I hope you find some relief for your symptoms. Sending positive thoughts and prayers your way.
