Sjogren's Syndrome Support Group
Sjogren's syndrome is an autoimmune disorder in which immune cells attack and destroy the exocrine glands that produce tears and saliva. It also associated with rheumatic disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, and it is rheumatoid factor positive in 90 percent of cases.
I guess it's different for everyone.
Sometimes I find that my GP is just really good for getting advice from. She doesn't have to write me a script or send a referral to specialist, but I can get advice about how to go about dealing with difficult doctors. Maybe you could speak to your GP about what he/she thinks you should do?
