I probably should not admit this because I live in a marijuana unfriendly State and because I still work, but, yes I have tried it for pain control.
I have a prescription for Vicodin and it really does little for the pain. It knocks me out, but I still feel the pain.
My husband smokes it on occassion and one night we were sitting around by the fire and I took a couple puffs. WOW, I felt good. Wish I could feel like that more often without losing my career!!
Vicodin by the way does work quite well for me for pain relief. But I only used it a couple of times because it puts me on another planet. Totally work and parenthood incompatible.
I wish at this point though I could find someone who uses so I could buy some. If nothng else, I may still hurt but probably wouldn't care!!! Just kidding. I smoked when I was younger. So, I know the benefits. I worked, but at times laughed alot. I guess it all depends on what you do for a living also.
Then , if you smoke it , your lungs are involved. Then the weight gain from the munchies. :~) The legality of it...
....one state over they have outlets for medical mary jane.
SjS causes dry eye and dry mouth. SjS can /does cause fatigue , pot causes fatigue and mental fatigue.
Seems like pot and SjS are alike.
Not sure what it would relieve , eyes would be drier, lungs would get irritated even more, mouth would for sure be drier than dry. I'd be hungrier....
I think your digestive system would benefit ...pain relief....I've never heard that before. I know it can help with spinal patients and severe muscle spasms.
Take your mind off your problems might be the biggest benefactor. So does a few glasses of wine and that can help your heart.
I think getting your sleep is imperative and if it was a night time deal it might be a good thing. Eating it would make the most sense before bedtime. I think if you get relief from using it go for it.
I also know they don't give it away. Just thinkin out loud.....
