Sjogren's syndrome is an autoimmune disorder in which immune cells attack and destroy the exocrine glands that produce tears and saliva. It also associated with rheumatic disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, and it is rheumatoid factor positive in 90 percent of cases.
Why does he want to do cyscopy if they already know you have I/C? Unless they want to rule out something more nefarious than inflammation (i/c).
You don't have to answer me, but I'd sure be asking them that question before consenting.
Granted....i had a terrible experience with this.
My doc thinks any woman over 40 who has ever smoked(I quit 20yrs. ago) has a risk of bladder cancer; so he wants to rule that out(I'm 63)
Any other advice is appreciated.
