Sjogren's syndrome is an autoimmune disorder in which immune cells attack and destroy the exocrine glands that produce tears and saliva. It also associated with rheumatic disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, and it is rheumatoid factor positive in 90 percent of cases.
Do you guys happen to experience this "heavy eyes or heavy eyelids" feeling?I sometimes experience it when I wake up at night other times during the day.Does that mean my eyes are just dry and need lubricating?I tend to think so but wanted some opinions.I am still waiting for my appointment with the doctor.Thank you.
It could be so, but I honestly don't know. Unfortunately, your doc may not really know either, but worth asking.
