Sjogren's syndrome is an autoimmune disorder in which immune cells attack and destroy the exocrine glands that produce tears and saliva. It also associated with rheumatic disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, and it is rheumatoid factor positive in 90 percent of cases.
My hair has gotten increasingly drier as the years have gone by. It has gotten dramatically worse in the last year and I just cant do anything with it. I am afraid to cut it short because it is dry to the scalp and it won't do anything. At least when it is long I can put it up and it looks kinda ok.
Anyone have any good dry hair remedies that work? Any advice would be really appreciated.

hi! I take fish oil capsules, any good brand, 2 or 3 a day. It has really helped my hair over the past two years. My sister said something about how my hairdresser was doing a good job of keeping my hair healthy and glossy, and I said, nope that's all me, all she does is cut it ! I also use coconut oil on the ends, rub in a little to control frizzy ends, and also right before a shampoo for extra conditioning. It helps that I have always had dry skin and hair, long before the Sjogren's diagnosis, so I am used to dealing with the problem.

I've been using Avolon organics brand shampoo and conditioner. They don't have the lauryl sulfate and they do have a lot of oil.
