Sjogren's syndrome is an autoimmune disorder in which immune cells attack and destroy the exocrine glands that produce tears and saliva. It also associated with rheumatic disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, and it is rheumatoid factor positive in 90 percent of cases.
Clinically the dr. Says I have this but I test neg.
I don't have tears and my nose and throat are so dry.
I think no matter what auto immune disease you have. The most common symptom is fatigue. And what makes it so hard to go on with daily activities. Take care. Hope you feel better soon.
I went to the Dr. yesterday and he is doing complete blood work. I use ACT for dymouth at night and chew sugarless gum all the time and those really help and drink lots of water. sometimes I wonder if it is better to be in pain and take a pill for it and move on, fatigue is madding. I just retired and I don'
t feel like doing anything :( hope you find out what your problem is
Regarding fatigue, I feel everyone's pain. Sometimes I'm so tired, I almost fall asleep at my desk and am forced to take a nap on my lunch hour just so I can get through the afternoon. I take a commuter bus to work, and most days I'll wake up already thinking about the nap I'll be able to take on the bus both going to work and coming home. On the weekends, I'll sleep for 10-12 hours trying to make up for what I can't get during the week. I was recently diagnosed with mild sleep apnea and have started using a CPAP, so I'm hoping that will alleviate the majority of my fatigue.
