does locality matter?

I was wondering if there has been a study on what part of the world or climate that has more auto-immune disorders? I know Alaska, parts of Canada and the Pacific Northwest has much a higher percentive of breast cancer. It has been related to the lack of sun and vitamin D. I am curious if there has been any studies that anyone knows of.

I know one thing......humid states or areas are the best for us the more moisture the better.

If its hereditary , location shouldn't matter unless a higher percentage of people who carry the gene live in a certain area or ethic grouping.

They don't know what causes it yet .... I'm sure its more related to our age groups too. Mostly women get it -35-45 yrs old.....so if there is a high concentration of women 35-45 ...more will have it.

I'd say until they know with surety how it manifests we won't know. If a cause is found we will learn a ton and probably how to prevent it at some level.

I do not know about any other auto immune diseases, but Colorado has the highest percentage of of people diagnoised with M.S. than any other state. Myaybe becasue it is so arid here; some days the humidity is almost non existant, like 5%.

Tom I am curious because dampness is terrible for me. I do so much better in a drier climate. At least some of my symptoms as in the coldness to the bone and my joints. I haven't thought about the dryness of my mouth, nose, eyes and so on. I guess I will see how this summer goes.

Humidity is just water in the air , dry climates - kill me-. Getting on a dry airplane or getting near any A/C is awful. I showed dogs all over the place the best I feel is in a warm humid climate. I remember showing in AZ. The air was affecting my eyes so bad I used double the eye drops.

As far as my bones and achy and my fatigue not really sure if any climate would matter. What effects me is high pressure and low pressure hard to avoid that.

Big pressure changes really make me hurt.

I am going to the caribbean in a couple weeks right on the ocean , I am so excited , but am dreading the airplane ride. I'm so looking forward to warm weather....
