Sjogren's Syndrome Support Group
Sjogren's syndrome is an autoimmune disorder in which immune cells attack and destroy the exocrine glands that produce tears and saliva. It also associated with rheumatic disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, and it is rheumatoid factor positive in 90 percent of cases.
The adventure continues-has anyone else been diagnosed with dermatomyocitis? Dermatologist said it is associated with muscles and mixed connective tissue disease but I'm wondering about connection with sjogren's. Any info appreciated.
I don't have dermatomyositis, but I wanted to let you know that there is a polymyositis & dermatomyositis group here on DS. I've been a member since my MCTD diagnosis and I find it very informative.
