Sjogren's syndrome is an autoimmune disorder in which immune cells attack and destroy the exocrine glands that produce tears and saliva. It also associated with rheumatic disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, and it is rheumatoid factor positive in 90 percent of cases.
I have been diagnosed with SS very recently however I noticed that whenever I have a flare up my gerd is going crazy as well I have difficulties swallowing, blurry vision and chills after meals with protein, pressure in the ears and generally my head feels like its been inflated.Then at night I have stomachache and hunger pains.These are very uncomfortable symptoms and its hard to keep it under control.I just wonder how many of you experience gerd along with SS.Thank you
You name it, my digestion system is a mess!
I also had my appendix removed, and my gallbladder (which was full of stones), and my liver lipase levels rise occasionly.
Blurry vision is constant, and chills are frequent.
