Yes I can. It is not always food but smells can bring back good memorys.

I have certain "comfort foods" that remind me of childhood, or just good times in general. I'm super-sensitive to smells, too.

When I smell pizza or kebabs it always reminds me of my manic days,when I went out clubbing,taking drugs,drinking and having sex.I always had pizza or kebabs when I was trollied.The smell of pot sends me on a drug mission,one whiff of the stuff and I'm off to see who it is and if they have any weed.I love the stuff.

Yes I can.Any type of sea food brings up memories of being in Hawaii for 6 yeras and Guam and the Philliphines,

my dad that had been gone for 4 years invades my stomach frequently ...for things I have never liked ....like cornbread and potato soup

I eat it and love it and then after its gone I talk about the nasty texture of cornbread for days but it makes me think about my dad and makes me so happy i could cry

I have always had a sensitive pallat. Taste and smell return many a memorie I have searched for years to taste a glass of iced tea like my grandmother (MomMom) used to make the last time I tasted her brew was back in 1959. The smell of her cooking on the woodstove reminds me to never take shortcuts when I'm cooking. The smell of lilac's and honeysuckle in bloom and tasting honeysuckle remind me of the farm on which I was born. the smell of duck tape reminds me to laugh at myself and lets have a little fun in life.
