To all I found out that I lost a friend on 9/11-he
vader
Yesterday,I called my dear brother in New York and the reunion will be next year he said.I may come sooner because one of the people that I grew up with is having a bad time.I do not know the father that well, you see he was always difficult. Now he is going through a great deal of pain. His daughter and this girl were killed on 9/11/2001.She was in the tower. All I know they found her body and he is just so bitter. She was a very nice girl you see and one day guess what? She came over and brought something for Frank and Frank was very broken up.Now I have got a question...What do I say to this man? I am at a loss for words and I have to come home to see my parents grave and such. What do you say? Someone told me the other day..not to tell this man and say I am sorry..but I did live there from 1953 to 1995.What can I do or say ? What would you do or say? Help me!

First, it has been almost 7 years since her death, so what you say now is a lot different then what you would say when it first happened. He is way passed the shock of it all. When I first lost my sister, I hated when people tried to explain things to me... like it was gods will or she is in a better place, UGH! Or, worst, I know what you are going thru. What meant the most to me was just telling me honestly, that they dont know what to say but they are there for me no matter what, whenever I want to talk, just to listen. I think there is nothing wrong after all this time to say that you are so sorry for his loss and to tell him what a good friend she was etc. I remember people tried to not talk about my sister, as if she did not exist, that upset me more. I love talking about her, it makes me feel like she is still here with me.
