I was diagnosed with shingles in January. No rash just burning sensation of skin on left side of face, scalp, neck, shoulder. Put on Valtrex, completed meds, symptoms eased up. Then at end of Feb got first COVID vaccine shot. Less than 24 hours after symptoms came back still no rash/sores. Burning sensation same areas but now in torso. Headache, nausea, stomach a mess. Doctor said today meds may not work because it needs to be done at start of symptoms. Looking for any recommendations on dealing with the skin discomfort.
