Sexless Marriage Community Group
This group is for those people who find themselves married to a partner who has little or no interest in having a sexual relationship. This can be very painful for the other partner and leave them feeling rejected, unloved and unwanted. This is a group to provide support for this very painful and very private issue.
Good luck with your "talk" with her and therapist. Don't let her steamroll over you with blame and guilt. They are always quick to accuse and redirect the conversation to claim they are the victim....
Her comment...you do you.... Perhaps that is exactly what you need to concentrate on. What you want and can handle for ever.
I do know the anger and resentment grew between us something fierce. I wound up prolonging and staying as there was always another health issue. I felt sorry for him and guilty but there was still that between us.
Good luck
1. Being shamed for being twice divorced
2. My family being dissapointed in me divorcing for such a "lame" reason when I have a good husband (they love him and so do I, he is a good man)
3. My young adult son, having his life disrupted again, while sitll in college, by my hystrionics of not having sex (not that I'd tell him that but it would be hard to explain why am I leaving my husband)
4. Hurting my husband
5. Turning my comfortable life upside down (to be clear, I'm financially independent, I don't depend of H income, but life would turn upside down regardless).
6. Finding bad sex out there, i.e. all the hoopla not being worth it. At my age, 50, lots of ED and issues/baggage. I didn't find good sex while I was dating 10 years ago; the only ok one was my now H and some dude 10 years younger (casual).
7. Having to start dolling up, wearing heals and all that nonsense I find ridiculous at my age. I like to dress nice, but hated that stuff when I was dating. I had clothes I called "dating uniform".
8. Having to go on endless boring dates with weird people, for years.
9. I've head really good sex in my first marriage. Should I just be content that I've had that for about 20 years? Other people never have that, should I just say had it, it was great, everything good eventually ends?
10. Say I find sex AND love again. I'll have to work again on yet OTHER issues in that relationship. None are perfect. Who knows what issues the next one would end up having?
