Sexless Marriage Community Group
This group is for those people who find themselves married to a partner who has little or no interest in having a sexual relationship. This can be very painful for the other partner and leave them feeling rejected, unloved and unwanted. This is a group to provide support for this very painful and very private issue.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I will have been married for 15 years in Sept. For more than the last 10 I have had no sex or any kind of physical touch (except an occasional peck) There always was an issue...because of meds he does have ED. (FYI Cialis will do wonders if he would decide to try it) In our case there was a bit more to the health issue. Instead of him asking the Dr. about it, he simply won't even consider it anymore (even knowing how much I do want this again)
Also a friend's hubby had the same sudden loss of libido at about the same age your hubby started to slow down. In their case it turned out he had a very low testosterone level. With a simple supplement things are back to normal for them.
They don't realize just how unimportant and unloved their actions make us (me anyway) feel.
I wish you the best.
I'm a 47 y/o man and my wife has 0 interest in sexless so we're kind of in the same boat.
The fact that your hubby won't even try to find a solution is a concern.
How is the relationship outside the bedroom?
I am realizing after sharing with others there are some couples out there who do have otherwise happy relationships. I think that is how they wind up here...because deep down we all long for that human touch and physical connection. The question seems to be.....can I continue on with all that we do have, but without sharing that ?
In my case our relationship is just fine if you ask hubby, however, I have told him several times why I am unhappy.
Until recently I just shut down and was going through the motions. Something happened...kind of like flipping a switch. Now I am realizing not being touched or shown any kind of affection, little to no help with anything around home....(even though he is there all day and I am working ) little communication (often with attitude and sometimes ridicule or being completely discounted) has taken its toll.
Right now, we are getting along very well. I am not feeling so neglected or resentful....probably because I have been spending so much time on here actually sharing with others going through similar circumstances. That is not to say I don't still crave a healthy, normal (if there is such a thing) relationship with ALL that it has to offer.
Good luck. We're praying for you.
