Sexless Marriage Community Group
This group is for those people who find themselves married to a partner who has little or no interest in having a sexual relationship. This can be very painful for the other partner and leave them feeling rejected, unloved and unwanted. This is a group to provide support for this very painful and very private issue.
Welcome to the group. We know what you're feeling and are here to support you. You are not alone in your struggles. We hope you can find the support you need here.
I have come to realize there are far more people who deal with this (or try to) than I could ever imagine. I thought it was just me. This affects men and women, young and old for all kinds of reasons.
You have alot on your plate....your little guy, your continuing sobriety, your husband who is dealing with his own issues.....but he should realize none of this is easy for you either. For someone so young that need for affection and that connection that comes with sex is something that is so strong. Have you mentioned to him how YOU are feeling ? that you are glad he is working on his issues, but you are struggling and feeling lost and forgotten and need to find that again?
I will be married 15 years in a couple of weeks. For the last 10 I have had very little affection or any type of physical touch. (with the exception of an occasional peck here or there) I was feeling unwanted, unattractive, unloved and eventually I did shut down and simply go through the motions (which hubby did not mind at all. He was the one to shut down first and is perfectly content living this way. I feel like a maid, nurse, roommate, cook......but not a wife.)
Less than a year ago I started chatting with someone a zillion miles away. From him I would find all that I should be getting from hubby. He actually flipped the switch...allowing me to open up and share everything accepting me just as I am but stirring things up....now I want so badly to step back into life. I still struggle trying to decide what I should do.
In case you didn't know there are other groups you may be interested in as well. (Sometimes there is not as much activity here as on the others.....healthy sex, healthy relationships)
I wish you all the best. Talk to him......It can't hurt.
