Sexless Marriage Community Group
This group is for those people who find themselves married to a partner who has little or no interest in having a sexual relationship. This can be very painful for the other partner and leave them feeling rejected, unloved and unwanted. This is a group to provide support for this very painful and very private issue.
You mentioned trying to get her to a dr. I would think if she knew that you and your family (kids?)were worried about her and just want her to feel better.....that should be enough to get her there.
I would also say your primary job is not to fix all for her at the expense of YOU. If you enjoy doing things....being active...try to still find time for yourself.
I spent my entire life doing for others and am just finally beginning to take care of my needs .
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Just know there are MANY others here who do understand.
Hugs
(While they chose to just shut down)
Please don't feel guilty.
It is a vicious cycle. Feeling hopeless, wanting to just shrivel up and disappear. Not caring what you look like (and feeling even worse knowing you are heavier and less attractive) The whole thing is , by then the thinking is.... WHY BOTHER?
If it is simply depression.....Medication... counseling (or therapy) could do wonders I do understand the trick is getting her there. If she does have a check up with the family doctor, maybe accompany her and bring it up. Opening the door for discussion and possible treatment .
I have done this a time or two with stbx since he tends to procrastinate and avoid things . In the end , he would learn something he was unable to ask himself.
Good luck
