Basically addicted to porn because of boredom and lust. Long ago I used to expose myself but I don't do that anymore. Just trying to get out of this porn world. Stress (real or made up) sometimes triggers it.

Looking for a place to start because non-porn days are so much better.

Have you invested time into a recovery group yet? Celebrate Recovery is pretty good, SA, SLA, and traditional 12 step programs are encouraging especially groups where members have a lot of sobriety. We overcome porn and any other attacks from the enemy by the blood of the lamb (Jesus - God) and the word of the testimony (hearing how others are getting free from it with God's power). I'll be honest though, the first 30 days are tough bro. The enemy will attack in every direction. Lust is too cunning, baffling, and powerful with our own power... we need to ask God for help many times throughout the day. Daily accountability is crucial. I hope you can find something local near your location. There is a group on this site that offers to help members find local resources. You might want to take them up on it.

If I were you, I'd take them up on the offer to help you find a group. It can be difficult to take that first step of finding a local group. I was deathly afraid myself when I went for the first time. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I made however. In experience, lust is like a tapeworm that lives inside the gut. It gets larger and larger and eats more and more of our life away until we finally take action to address it. Don't let it have it's way in your life. It promises to fill you, but always leaves you more empty than when you started. Don't defend the parasite or try to befriend it, for it consume you whole. The enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy. He is relentless and strategic. Don't wait for a tragedy. It's time to cease to the moment... Draw close to God, resist the devil, and the enemy will flee from you. Get a sponsor and start working the steps.

That’s good advice about letting the lord help you. It gave me a completely new outlook and sense of purpose in life when I came to Jesus.
