It helps knowing I’m not fighting this battle alone. I am clean today and I hope that it’s real. I have gone years without abusing myself but I slipped back into it. I think my attitude wasn’t right about why not to do it. It’s not what God wants for me is the reason. It may feel physically exhilarating for a minute or so but every every time it’s a dead end followed by a low. I know that now. Sex is definitely best between a couple in love. There is nothing more fun or good for you than to give yourself to another. Anything else done in hiding is obviously against your conscience. I’m looking forward to saving myself for my wife this weekend. God bless all on here who want help.

Your wife is very lucky to have you, you realized you have an addiction, and your working to better yourself. Its a struggle, but i have faith you can overcome it.

Thanks, I appreciate it I think I have turned a page with my abusing myself. I got really mad at it last weekend while I engaged in the behavior. I dared myself to like what I was doing. I really didn't, not for more than a few seconds. I think it's losing it's appeal. I hope it was a sick phase I was going through because I really don't feel like it anymore. Tired of the secret life and the ups and downs. That's really all there is to it. I prayed and prayed to God to deliver me from that sickness and maybe he has. Also through the help of my professional counselor. She opened my eyes more to God in 6 weeks than all twelve years of Catholic school. I highly recommend it for you if you need someone professional to get advice from. Betterhelp is the site. God bless you in your struggle. It will pass.
