slip not relapse

so, i slipped. after 3 months of sobriety. shame. lots of shame. but its a slip not a relapse. i am in good company. i am surrounded by people who care. i will make it.

I always think of a slip as a Slight Lapse In Progress (S.L.I.P.), and a slip IS different that a relapse. Sometimes, slips just happen, they are often an expected part of the early recovery process. Of course by saying that, I'm not giving you permission to go out and have a slip, but they do happen. A relapse, however, is a total crash and burn, and those DON'T just happen, they have to be planned for and allowed to happen. Big difference between the two.

I know what you are feeling. I have had a slip too...4 months after I had my last PA. It was only texting...but she was one of the women I had been seeing. Charli always gives some of the best information.

Just so you all know, I've notified the administrators of Daily Strength that this site is acting up, AGAIN. Maybe this time they can fix it so that it quits double, triple, and quadruple posting. This kind of thing has happened dozens of times before and they get it fixed for a few weeks, but inevitably, it starts doing the multiple postings again. How frustrating!
