I've lost everything, my wife my kids, my relationship with God. Everything seems pretty hopeless right now.

My sexual addiction has taken me farther than I ever thought I would go. But I'm the road to recovery, starting a 12-step group in the weeks to come. I've attended once already, and feel like being around other men who struggle with this issue will help me feel comfortable and get my demons out.

There's a part of me that feels like I pushed God away for the last time because I've chosen my sin of pornography, lust and adultery over him.

I just want to feel his love again and his acceptance.

I miss my wife and kids, I miss God. I desire true change, a new heart. A new mindset that leads to true repentance.

I want to stop, I want to be free and I want to walk in victory. It's hard to fight these temptations because they are all around me, and I feel helpless at times. God grant me the strength to fight. Grant me the strength to walk in victory over shame.

Hi Bonsai. I am sorry you have done this to yourself. If constant Internet access is causing you to fall back into pornography indulgence you may need to cut it off from you for a month or longer.

I also have been struggling with pornography for decades. Generally I can go a few months to a year before I backslide and indulge in pornography again. I realize this is a journey with Christ and He wants to continually help me. I believe He is helping me to begin cutting this sin out of my life. My last slip up now was about thirty-five days ago. Before that it was about 90 days of being clean.

Go one day at a time. The only day you can control is the one you are in presently. The grace of the LORD will be with you if you really truly want it in your life.

I’ve been struggling to end this, as well, for the last couple of months. I’m realizing that despair, hopelessness, and feeling overwhelmed are only making it easier to relapse. I’m working on self love, meaning focusing on the positive aspects of my life and the things that I’m doing well. My exercise, work, even playing video games... whatever it is, I’m working on appreciating myself. Now I’m focusing on those positives, and exposing porn for what it is, a totally negative aspect of my life that doesn’t contribute to those positive qualities. Success won’t be linear, but don’t give up.

The biggest thing is to get to know why you go for the "FIX", work on the why, the desire will never go away.
If you understand the why it will help in your healing and strength to stay sober.
