Today exactly one and a half year ago I joined the group since I realised that I could not control my consuption of pornography, and that it was destroying my life. I was aware of the fact that the only way of getting out of my addiction was to quit totally and at once. I figured out that if I got a daily reminder of my weakness I wouldn't forget how weak I actually was, and that it actually was an addiction.

The good news is that it has worked. I have not slipped a single time since I joined D.S.

I am truly thankful for this help. Am I cured?- NO. Do I detest porn? No, not at all. If I could do whatever I wanted without any consequences right this very moment I would run straight back to porn sites and spend an hour or two there. I can feel the urges after porn, and there is no point of denying it.

I never used to understand how people could identify themselves as alcoholics years after their last drink. I thought that it was a destructive way of looking down on themselves.

Today I know better. I call myself a sober porn addict. I am fully aware of the fact that I can slip any time.

The sad news.

It is commonly known that some people exchange one addiction for another. Unfortunately I've developed a eating disorder and become addicted to sugar. Well there are groups for that too...

Let's hope that I'll be able to deal with my eating without slipping in my first addiction.
