I have been viewing porn since I was about 10 years old. I am now 30.

I am addicted and it is causing mass amounts of stress on my marriage. On my days off I spend hours viewing porn and mastubating. I have no energy or desire to have sex to my wife.

I have tried to stop countless times, but the longest I have gone without porn or mastubation is about 6-7 days.

I have trouble maintaining an erection while attempting to have sex with my wife and now she thinks that it is her with the problem. She has even questioned my sexuality.

This has to stop before I lose my wife. Please help. Anyone with suggestions to help me get rid of this addiction?

Need to get rid of the source of your addiction, your computer.

Delete bookmarks, delete any saved content, install a blocking program that restricts adult websites. I would try to find a trust worthy friend to install it so you don’t have access to uninstall it.

Same goes for your phone. Set short term goals for yourself. Week at a time if that helps. It’s a long one ahead but be steadfast.

Hi there, I have found exercise is a great way to stop yourself in the moment. When you are feeling that urge to view, go for a walk/run/workout. It can help make the urge pass.

Isolation is very likely also breeding your pornography addiction. You need to get involved in a local sex addict support group in my opinion. You can keep losing the battle or get involved in support and start your healing. It will be embarrassing to get local help but you need assistance to overcome this.

I really appreciate the feedback back. Today was day 3 of no porn or masturbation and I feel pretty good.

I started a new job and I will have way less free time on my hands and I’m praying that it will help me stay occupied.

I have realized my triggers and have taken the steps to avoid them.

This online group is my first step to seek help outside confining my addiction to my wife.

This is exactly where porn addiction leaves it's worst mark to ruin human will power and confidence and self esteem May God have mercy upon you.
