Hello all,


This is very difficult for me cause I'm always wanting this to stop but it's just time to face it. I am 18, a senior in high school and about to go to college. I feel that when I am feeling down or stressed I resort to porn. I feel guilty instantly. I normally watch for 2 min then shut it off from guilt. I try and convince myself I'm only watching it to masturbate but inside I know that's not true. I know that it is entertaining me. I just want to be free of it so I can have healthy relationships in college and so that I won't feel guilty all the time. I want to do everything I can to keep my family out of this. I could really use some tips and support. I'm crying just writing this :(. This is very hard for me.

I wish I was 18 again! You are lucky to have relised now im 37 and have wasted 20 years of my life looking at porn. Good luck be strong before it hurts you i lost my first wife due to being a zombie on porn now i see my daughter twice a month which hurts like hell.

I hope you can overcome this addiction. It's going to be hard but you'll get through this. I'm only 15 and I am trying to stop. I hope you can get the support you need to get through this. That will help you a lot during this.

You've recognized the need for help earlier than many of us were able to. Keep listening to that voice and holding on to that desire to get free! Don't let it fade.

I naively thought that I could stop whenever I wanted to - when I was in high school, maybe I told myself that would be in college. When I was in college, maybe I told myself I'd stop when I got out into the "real world". When I continued to struggle through my 20's I certainly told myself I'd stop as soon as I got married.

Now here I am nearly 8 years into my marriage and still fighting this battle. The patterns get built and reinforced over time. I know that it's difficult now - but you're doing the right thing by confronting it, right now, and not putting it off for a future version of yourself to deal with!
