Hi, everyone. I'm new here.

Today I finally gather up the strength to stop watching porn and make a public commitment. Today is my first day sober. I have tried to stop watching porn before without looking for help on support groups. I always relapsed, no matter how many promises I made to myself. After trying many times to stop I realised that I couldn't do it on my own. So I started looking for support groups. I would really appreciate all the help you can give me.

Good for you. In addition to online support groups, have you looked into in-person support groups? The one thing we advise people is that making in-person contact with others who understand what you're going through makes a huge difference. Happy to help you get connected in any way that might be helpful.

I definitely agree with pornhelpdotorg. Try to find a support group around your area for you. I myself go to Celebrate Recovery and it is hopeful to hear others stories and heir battles and know that I am not the only one going through this addiction. I also downloaded an app called rtribe. Also I would recommend getting into the Lords word and pray to him. Lean on him. He will never let u down.

Today will be my first day in a face-to-face support group and I'm a bit nervous. I don't know what to expect.
Personally I don't believe in God, but thanks for the suggestion cameroncrazy.

Expect to be welcomed and not judged. Everybody there has been where you are. They all get how it feels to be a newbie, and they (like you) have been brave enough to face the discomfort in order to improve their lives. It's worth it.
