I have to add that I reinstalled snitchplus, which shows all the websites visited, and any suspicious images. I just want something that won't let my H give in to the urge to even try to go on the websites

We installed Family Cyber Alert, and that works very well- allows my wife to see all keystrokes, emails, chats, ims, screen snapshots etc. It received a strong review by a presumably objective website.

Its funny, but I guess I am blessed by the fact that I am not that computer literate. A bunch of guys in my 12 step group talk about spending time trying to figure out how to circumvent their blocking software. Thankfully, I would not even know where to begin!

I've been using Blue Coat K9. It's free and seems to be working great.

I downloaded Safeyes and all it did was slow my computer down. I then went to Net Nanny and it works great,

I placed a password on my computer, in the admin, and all entities, that prevents anyone from accessing it at all without my password. I am not comfortable with his computer usage here at home at all. So, for me, that was the answer.

ok, yesterday H went out and got us (me) a new computer and my own laptop (wanted one for a long time). I'm hooked on playing those freaking games on facebook and myspace...anyways

On this new computer, I set up the only user name so he doesn't need my passoword to get in. I need to learn how to trust him again, and he needs to learn how to control his urges. I reinstalled snitchplus which shows all the websites visited, cookies, images..etc. I also have another program that will get into the hard drive in case he does venture off and either uninstalls snitch or crashes the system. He has never done either btw, but my mind has been thinking of the what ifs.

I've been researching all the parental control programs mentioned. I'm thinking of a program called antiporn listed on the same website of family cyber alert. It is just a filter, that's it. I just want something to stop him before he even goes there. I have to set the controls on the computer as well

as for my laptop, it is password protected. There's noway into it. As for the old computer, we are crashing it and then I'm going to reset it for the kids to use for their school games. that one will be very well protected as well (all under 8), especially in case H gets any ideas of using that one. We were due for a new computer as it's 7 yrs old, and was corrupted from several viruses. I wanted to originally crash it to get rid of any evidence on the hard drive of his "stuff"

so, as for filters...I want one that also gives you the option of buying the cd as I'm installing it in multiple computers, and in case one crashes
